Re: OT: How's the weather?

Becky,
Going to try the Kitty Prozak first and if that doesn't work then it is off with the claws (seems like all I do is pay freakin bills or have "emergency's) Anywhoo that's a shame that you live in that sort of bad installion becky...what you wrote really shocked me..being a former marine I just figured there would be like 0 crime and no problems in the neighborhoods. The arms smuggling and drug dealing is absolutly ridiculous that's just a slap in the face to veterans both past and present and also the people that have died for this country..no class a-holes. If you do move to CO I hope your on a much nicer base. Also thanks for the sympathy for the cat..she's not doing any better today...time will tell I suppose. Barb...I cleaned them with soap and water...then some rubbing alcahol, then some lotion to help heal..I think I should be good.

Oh yea...decent day here today.it's dark but I think all of New England has a sun blocker around it. It's about 41 and breezy.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

That smuggling crime resulted in 6 years at Leavenworth as the worst punishment for an E6. The assets were not seized, so there is some decent money left over. Of course, his wife has access to it and could clean him out.

I made it outside just long enough to water the bushes. Did a little in the house today but the youngest is keeping me busy. I cannot wait until naptime.

Right before my husband switched to his current unit there was an issue with soldiers smuggling arms and drugs here on military flights. Several enlisted got in trouble...a couple of officers to a lesser extent. Now when they are in South America, they are not permitted to have any contact with the locals. However, there is still no customs check for the military flights. And our guys might not be permitted to have contact with the locals around the military base, but they catch their plane in the next country over and they have plenty of contact with people there.
Sounds alot like the movie "American Gangster" which was based on a true story i guess. They smuggled in a bunch of Heroine from overseas during Vietnam.

Mucci, I had my son when had just turned 35. Good age for having children. He is 15 now, and I have more patience than would have if had been younger. Besides, he keeps me yound

I've never seen American Gangster...although, I did watch No Country for Old Men last week and realized that it made for another good reason to get the heck out of West Texas. lol

We have a few good ones out here. My guess for what you are talking about is Cattlemens' Inn. A little east of here in the middle of nowhere. I haven't eaten there. It has limited hours and it takes about an hour to get there...never good for travelling with kids. So we eat our steaks 11 miles north at the New Mexico border.

Elliott, is Camden really that bad???? Wear body armor.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Another sunny day in WV, can't believe 2 in a row!! But it is really cold also. Spring is here?? I can't wait for the hot weather, which only is here in Aug. In WV it is only warm or hot for about 3-4 mo. the rest of the time is YUCK, as far as weather is concerned.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

It is always sunny here. It should be close to 80 for the next couple of days, and then a little cooler for Easter. I need to find my way to Lowes today for some sand, extra potting soil...get the rest of the flowers planted.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

well its cold here today and I couldn't sleep a wink last night....too much stress and heart burn were the causes. But to my surprise they started spring cleanup here at teh home today....at 7 am..had to move my car in my PJ's..nice and chilly. There's still a frozen flood zone in my "backyard"
