Re: How's the weather?

News said we had 60 mph winds yesterday. No wonder we are all gagging here. It has been hurting to breathe all day today.

I need to move...somewhere more inhaler friendly.

Re: How's the weather?

One of our merry group isn't enjoying his sunny days in Florida. Ed was in a car accident this week, was rear ended, lost his wheelchair, dislocated his hip and has been stuck in bed!

Good grief!

He's bruised up. Said we probably won't hear much from him for the next couple of weeks.

I hope he gets better soon. I wonder who is taking care of his tank....

Re: How's the weather?

Landscapers are out cleaning up the street today. Saw them removing tumbleweeds. They usually stick around for 45 minutes and then break for lunch for about 2 months. The goverment would save a lot of money going back to making us military folks clean up our own yards. When I first moved to El Paso, we were expected to trim the bushes, pull weeds, make sure the rock in our front yards were spread out...no underlying dirt was allowed to show. No garabge in the yards...we had to clean the streets. And they meant it, I never got a nasty notice, but the neighbors around me got a few. Now the yards get maintained once every few months and they are supposed to be out here once every 2 weeks. I do my own because I can't handle people in my space and I hate unkept yards.

Temperature should be higher today. 60s, I believe. Probably be able to get outside for more yard work. The grass is getting greener and it is about time to spray with Miracle Gro lawn food. Finally got the weeds in the backyard pulled. Need to fill in a few holes, plant some more flowers. Get my hummingbird feeders set to go.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Rub it in with the warm temps!!! Supposed to get into the 40s today. Only another foot of snow to go before we can see the grass. Perhaps the lake will thaw by the 4th of July!

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Planted a couple more plants. Killed a couple black widows. Had the kid filling in holes, picking up the trash has been blowing around, pulling weeds. Landscape crew trimmed my bushes out front. Ugh They have had a hard time growing, and then they chopped them down a few feet. Looks like they left me the mess to pick up, too. So either they will grow better or they will just finish dying.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

that sucks about the buses Becky...we have a landscaper at my parents house (my dad can't do that kinda stuff anymore and I'm worthless when it comes to yardwork) We have some massive bushes and they just keep getting bigger even after all the snow and crappy weather. It's partly cloudy here today with a bit of a breeze. Highs in the mid 40's...can't wait till spring really hits.
