It is in the seventies here today.
Mucci, you will be safe from my butt jumping for awhile.
There was an incident....
There was an Easter gig going on right up the street from us. We have been doing these with the kids as soon as the oldest could walk. So my husband had to take the 1 yr old over to his egg hunting area, I took the 4 yr old to his. It was the tennis courts. All of these kids had to lineup outside the area. I won't get into it all, but anyone who was not in the front got squat unless someone was nice enough to share their loot. I heard one doofball parent telling their kid how to store more eggs when the basket was full. My response? Told my kid that if he fills his basket, he would be done. There were other kids there. He didn't find any of his own, but one kid was nice enough to give him a few. Most kids were crying that they got nothing.

Aggravating, but somewhat typical as to military family events, sad to say.

Then they had a series of bouncy balloons. The 4 yr old had to go, so he got his shoes off and climbed in one just to be kicked out because the woman running it thought he was too old sent him to the next balloon over. Do you think my kid understood that? No. Get to the next balloon over and they wouldn't let him in because he was too young and they told me I had to go back to the balloon I just came from. I told them that he was just given the boot, they argued with me.

So I told them that they really needed to get it together because their incompetence had upset my 4 yr old. So I grabbed my kids shoes and left.

My observation...I am not doing anymore military family events at this installation. Next year, I intend to stay home and drink beer on Easter. It makes more sense.

And the winds are bad today.

Crappy polariod from today, but you can tell the wind is blowing from looking at the 1 yr old.

No, but if you look real closely it looks like Bunny took a dive. Filthy rabbit. Either that or the guy tried to eat a Snickers and forgot he was wearing the costume. Christmas was the last function I attended, some of you might recall that debacle...will not get into it here...Santa was some unknown guy off of the street. I wouldn't doubt it if Bunny came off the corner somewhere.

No napping in the sun here...that'll put you in the ER. I will be outside in the sun just long enough to cut the grass...even if it is only in the 70s. The sun is too intense and you baked. I am well tanned from March to November, but I will not lay out. Neighbor got silly and tried it once, said she was tired of me being tanner than me. Ended up purple and at the ER.

Tornados here in Atlanta today (and last night) Really sucks as I have stuff at the world congress center for a trade show and they will not let anyone in untill monday to even see the damage. Oh well, LIfe goes on!

Started off clear and windy, it's now rainy and cold. Spent the morning plastering a wall and painting a closet. Yeah I know who paints their closets??!!

When my husband came home a week back and asked me where I wanted to go after he returns from Korea, I said what I thought was most likely, Maryland (because that is where he wants to go), Virginia and Georgia...because the likelihood of getting assigned to those states is better than...well, I just need to get out of Texas. I'm not coming to Georgia, Jim...if I do, it will be a big surprise! I've noticed your weather even when I haven't been watching for it. Watch a lot of CNN in the mornings and they keep me informed. So I wanted to plant a few flowers today. That ain't happening. The winds are something else. My neighbor caught me outside and all the while she was talking the blowing sand was cutting into my skin. Should make for an interesting shower Then she asked me if I remembered last year when she turned purple.
