Fatman,

They could really use some ice for the fire ravaged area of northern/central California!

Hot muggy, getting daily showers and some vIrga. right now 74 with 69% humidity. It is supposed to be a dry heat here. I miss that.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

I have thought about it. I grew up in Illinois and it is steamy there during the summer. El Paso is generally dry with less than 20% humidity...but the sun is searing during the summer and during the day, I cannot be outside for longer than 15 minutes at a time otherwise my skin burns. Hot is hot is hot!

Re: OT: How's the weather?

I'll take dry hot heat over the 67% humidity any day. I step outside and I'm feeling soaked and its not raining. At least the temps are not in three digits.
looking at 96 today bright sunny day.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Hey I do not want to get into the who is hotter and more miserable argument. Truly...like here, with everything being so dry, the body acclimates. I finally acclimated this year after being here since 2004. It is was too painful to breathe here for the longest time, regardless of the heat.

OH no, no need to argue at all. hot is hot. I loce it here, winter is great, get snow on occasion. Phoenix is as hot as it is not only because of the desert, but the asphalt/concrete. we have a lot less of that here!!! in the mornings it is very nice until the sun breaks through the clouds. Just make me look forward to winter, then I whine about cold, look foreward to summer and the cycle starts again!! Ohhhh never happy. JK

I guess I should be happy, no tornados, hurricanes, etc. just heat. we are definately lucky in that aspect!!

Currenty 87 with 47% humidity, another storm comming in, then it does get REALLY nice outside

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Brenda, the winters are a plus here. But it is funny, in the winter it is high forties, low fifties...people stay indoors. When the temp starts hitting the 7)s as a high...people start wearing fleece.

Diane, it is in the 80s right now with humidity in the 60s. Guess how good that feels.

we are a little cooler lowest to high teens, mostly 30's. I laugh because I am a AZ lifer and we can really tell the "snowbirds" they are the ones wearing shorts and tee's when we are wearing fleece. too funny. we're pretty whimpy. I would never last in the high country.

last year it snowed all night had a foot of snow for 1 week. Every one freaked, whole town closed. no one could drive. what whimps!!!
