Re: OT: How's the weather?

My husband and the 4 yr old went to the movies. I took the little one outside while it was cloudy and I had a coffee break.

I cannot tell offhand which way the clouds are heading. Everything is slow moving. Decided to take the youngest out for a walk, if my husband left me my iPod, I would have went for a run, temps are cool enough. I did get a chance to smell rain, but it looks like it was over in Mexico.

Now it is shower time, then I need to do a water change and work in the 4 yr old's room while he is gone.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

84 and about 55% humidity. Not fun at all. I had the windows open today for a lil while figuring I'd let the house air out (get that "old people" smell out) and it was just too much. The windows are now closed and the blinds are down. Making RO water right now...I've never made allot before but it seems like it's going to take a l-o-n-g time. Did manage to get the eggcrate last night and put it in this morning. I still have to clean and eat something at somepoint.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Do you get Verga in Tx ? It's rain that evaporates before it hits the ground. Instead of smelling like fresh rain it often smells like dirt, and increases humidity. It's like a big tease.
My head ache lifted and I went out to mow the back yard, had to come in halfway through due to heat, it's only 100.7 but humidity is up. We need rain.
I can still see an mushroom like formation of smoke from the fire still burning south of here in Lavine that was started by lightening 4 days ago.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Well Diane, it was suppose to rain here in Safford about 130 east of you at 10:30 this morning. Still waiting, stupid weather people, I could do their job better at least here in AZ. "well it's gonna be hot" duh!!

Got sprinkles enough to get the car dirty right before the dust storm on Thurs. Tucson seems to be getting the rain.

currently 96 with 19% humidity. supposed to rain all week, I will believe it when I see it!!!!

BTW it is spelled virga: Virga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Nimbostratus virga
Virga falling from AltocumulusIn meteorology, virga is an observable streak or shaft of precipitation that falls from a cloud but evaporates before reaching the ground.

Verga is a very offensive word in spanish. you will have to google it if you want to know what that means just don't want you going around south phoenix throwing that word around, might get shot

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Mucci: what is the gpd rating on your RO? I had a 50gpd, but went up to a 75 with a booster pump...freakin awesome.

A couple of weeks back, housing noticed my yard was green and it was probably costing them money. So they cut back my water. I discovered it, went back and reprogrammed my system to where I wanted it. I also considered hooking my booster pump into it...30 psi, pshawwww! Why should I be watering just my backyard when I could be watering the whole block? Buttheads.

Diane: I didn't know there was a technical name to it, but yes, we get virga...it's mostly virga.

Sprinkled a little bit today.

78 degs/ 43 % humidity.

I didn't know the tecnical name either, but when I looked it up the way Diane spelled, the spanish meaning popped up, to my surprise. And since she lives close to such a friendly city, I though I should warn her.

HEY...I lernt a new Spanish word...I can use that in my clase de Español mañana!

It's warm here, (low-90's) but only moderately humid. (~25%) Supposed to stay like this most of the week, but 100's are forecast for the 4th of July weekend.
