Now, you know I didn't take those pics just for here, right?
I sent it to housing. Butthead in charge emails me back stating that he was handing the matter over to the facilities manager (sounds fancy...like maybe he has an intern) and it will be addressed on Monday. I called him left the nastiest message on the machine, telling him that the bozos were on my street destroying bushes now, not Monday and that I thought he was quite qualified to answer a question or two that I raised. Said that if this was done in the civilian sector, they would be f-f-f-fired.

And no, I haven't taken my blood pressure meds yet.

OK Beck - take your meds, have a seat in the closet & don't come out until Monday!! Are the guys doing the work blind or doing it with a butter knife?

My husband thinks they are doing it with a weed whacker.
I've been outside watering the bushes before they stress too much, trimming the base of the bushes...they left a bunch of debris for me to clean up.

Took the meds...now I refuse to talk to anyone. lol

There's a festival downhere centered around a drink called a Bushwacker. It's so good with an extra shot of 151! You should sit on your porch and have a bushwacker or two while looking at your wacked bushes.

It finally rained today. It rained in the backyard for about 2 hours, then the front yard, then all over accompanied by a LOT of lightening. At one point I couldn't see past the front porch. At least the pond got a nice water change.

drips and drops here today again...not even any thunder. I'm waiting for a real nice storm or a downpour or something. My fathers grass really needs it..lots of burned spots. But he just fired and hired a landscaper today. Hopefully they understand about grass nutrition, mow patterns, turf, clovers etc. They did do a good job of mowing today...the real test is when they half to climb the latter's to trim the bushes. Will they ignore them???? who knows. Becky our of curiosity what kind of bushes do you have...I lived in the dessert for 9 months and didn't see anything that "plant like" just some scraggly looking bushes on base..oh and cacti and Joshua trees.

No rain here. We could use some in a serious way. We're in our second year of poor rainfall, and our Governator even declared a drought.
It's warm here, (mid-90's) but with all the smoke in the air from the fires, (over 800 burning in Kahleeforneeya right now) it's pumped the humidity way up from normal. Almost feels like Maui out there. Supposed to be over 100 again this weekend. I hope the humidity goes away by then.

Haveing a drought here too. Flippin Hot. I thought we were gonna get rain becuase the sky was so dark, but its smoke from the fire in Lavine. It's still burning. The sky looks overcast but its from the fire. It made the sunset look accalyptic.

Mucci...heck if I know. I majored in Forestry, not horticulture I am no good with bushes. Right now if I had to narrow it down: Bushus whackus sp.

Very familiar with them. Sister-in-law has a party in winter where we have 2 blenders of them going all night!!
