We finally have rain!!!!! We have over a 5" deficit so I hope this will help. Other than that, it's 90.

Hot but I think it's gonna break finally. Rained but good.

Had an A/C scare... it went out, Mike tried replacing fuses in teh central air, the unit's compressor wouldn't go. Borrowed a window unit from teh in-laws, but thank god the central air came back.

Get this -- the MIL was NOT going to do anything about the central air -- it's her house, we're renting it. It has NEVER been serviced the whole time we've been here, it's supposed to be done yearly. I have no idea how long it was serviced before that, this has been a rental for years.

Her contention is it's inefficient and basically freezing teh basement while leaving the 3rd floor hot as (*&^. Window units would be more efficient. OK, first of all, WE are paying the bills so why does she care, adn SHE is not the one living here I AM. She doesn't even want someone to come out and take a look at it. The house is basically an investment to her.

She and her husband live in the bigger house with window units (these homes are 100-150 years old some of them, I can agree the a/c is inefficient, but still) and closes off rooms with curtains and lives in the dark and is perfectly content to do so.

I like light. This house is a row and dark as a cave. I hate that about it. My mother can't stay here to long because of that, she feels the same way about dark houses.

Sorry for the rant but OH!!! P%##es me off.

Toasty warm - not hot - really perfect day!!! Sorry to all of you with miserable weather, but it really was fantastic out today. Hope it stays through Friday, I'm taking the nieces to Disneyland for the day...
