We are the lucky ones. This is nothing compared to the people that live in the neighborhood just across the road they can't even get onto their street.
I'm ready to start building the boat.
And it is still raining!! Weatherman said it was gonna be cloudy today with a chance of showers. HA!! All day torrential down pours more like it.

Photo 1: Lochness Monster

My mom was saying they had a few sirens going on yesterday. The animals are acting dodgy. Cat runs into the basement when the sirens start up, dog starts cowering in the garage because it is usually followed by hail and storms lately.

Getting old out that way.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

The sun finally broke though for us here in RI...about 86 and 55% humidity. The AC is blasting. Just glad the sun decided to come out...I was getting a little sick of the dark and dreary stuff.

Nina that stinks about all that rain...9 inches in one day is allot. Hope everything that needs to stay dry stays that way.

If your talking about the one that hit Camp Atterbury, yes we are about 2 miles away.
I just can't believe all this rain.
Our driveway is about 200 ft up a hill and gravel and most of it is washed out.
We lost one tree that just fell over.
The sump quit working sometime after 8 this morning. (I checked the basement at 8). Mark went down around 11 and we had a good inch of water.
Alot of our stuff is still in boxes from the move and sitting on the floor.
We just got through getting rid of the water and Mark is going to go buy a new sump pump.

There are two large metal pipes that take a stream under the road and alot of the rock and dirt has washed away. The road is right at the edge now.
We called the fire department to tell them but they didn't seem too concerned. Hope when a large truck goes by the road doesn't crumble.

Re: OT: How's the weather?

Was in the 100s yesterday. Miserable.
Probably the same today.

Deb, you flooded, too? Not surprised considering you live in a place where most people live in a crack.

Gina, Nina...I haven't checked the weather channel yet, any new systems heading your way or can you expect to be dry for the next 24 hours?

Re: OT: How's the weather?

No, I am not flooded, but the school was flooded, and water covered the sports fields, and up to the scoreboard on the baseball field. Fortunately, we live on a hill. Lots of places were flooded, and some roads even washed out. I wonder how things are in Indiana?

Dry and about 85 right now. Not a cloud in the sky. I'd like to see a little rain but not that much.
