I'm thankful we have Prop 13 here in Kahleeforneeya. That limits property tax raises to no more than 2% per year.

Aaaahhhhh, back home - alwasy good to have a little vacation but good to get home too. No phone or laptop since Thursday and I survived!!! Of course I have over 600 e mails to go through but... Weather in Oregon was cool, some rain (hey it's Oregon!) but had some beautiful sunshine at the coast.

Severe Thunderstorms here since last night.
We had no idea until my sister called us about 10 last night that a tornado went right by us. It hit Camp Atterbury which is about 2 miles from us!

This morning is still lightning and thundering and a Tornado watch is in effect for our area until 11 am.

Wow...tornados are spooky. (I'll take the chance of earthquakes over tornados and hurricanes)
I miss summer thunderstorms. We rarely get one here. Occasionally we'll get one during the winter rains, but not in the summer. Heck, we rarely get any rain between mid-April and mid-October.

Gonna be a hot one again today. I might cut the grass, though, it's driving me nuts! I also have a water change and a clove polyp to trim back...I'm sure I can find equipment to clean....

Maybe I won't make it outside....

Boomer, I think we have had enough rain for the whole state of NC already in the last two months. Rain is no longer just labeled.."heavy rain" it is labeled in inches-yesterday was 2-4. Jeesh, it's getting to be as bad as our snow issues!

I'm with Gina she is about 30 miles south of me and we were watching the tornadoes from the house. Loud night with the weather radios going off every three minutes. Still raining here and tornado watch out until noon.
Only two more hours to go. Suppose to see this

tomorrow.
