It rarely breaks 100 here, although it sure feels like it is. But back home in Illinois, it is not unusual to get the heat index at 112 with the humidity...but not until July!

I get to play hookey from work today and go to Wrigley Field for the Cubs/Pirates game!

Its a beautiful day for baseball.

Still cloudy. I ran out to get my meds and it was sprinkling a little. Sweatshirt weather. The kids are ticked at me because I won't let them outside until it dries up a little.

The weather here is very changeable today.. rain, then sun. It's cool, but not really. It's confused!

Bryan got in yesterday morning, he looks so good and healthy! His gf is wonderful, and I do hope if he decides to marry it would be her. Or, at least that he keeps her around for a good long time... they've 'dated' off and on since college. They are talking about having her move in when he buys a house in DC sometime this summer.

Last night we played musical beds; until the bedrooms in the basement are finished, we have two bedrooms to use. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms on the main floor are my mil's... one is her bedroom and the other is a living room/kitchenette, and of course the other full bath is over there.

So, Kate took Andrea's room, Andrea moved in with me, and Bryan and John slept in the living room. This is all fine. However, Maggie the ESS is very excitable, and she is THRILLED that Bryan is home. She was equally thrilled that Andy was sleeping in with me. Maggie jumped off and up onto the bed maybe 500 times during the night. She whined at the bedroom door. Ozzy, who hardly ever sleeps on the bed decided last night was the night he wanted to. So there were me, Andy, four dogs and one cat in the bed. I didn't sleep very much. Andy, on the other hand, slept REALLY sound.

I'm tired!

It's only 1:30 and already 102 out there. (a comfy 77 inside though!) The record high for this date here is 103. I think we'll easily match or break that record today.
