OT: Venomous Snake Pics

Ok I promise I will post some tank pics this weekend and lay of the snakes for a while.

Here's a few shots I got this week for a photo contest. I never win but everyone likes the pics. I like to hear feedback about my pics as far as the snakes go I've heard it all.

Enjoy

Also a few ramdom pics.

Wow! I can't see any reason why you wouldn't win! That portrait of the cobra and the green snake are beautiful photos. I don't know what the other contestant's photos look like, but I think the one of the wet green snake is a winner!

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: OT: Venomous Snake Pics

Thanks Everyone.

I think the main reason I don't win is the fact my pics are of snakes and not of cute cudly animals. Doesn't bother me I enjoy taking pics and working with my snakes.

Re: OT: Venomous Snake Pics

The markings of the first one really play tricks on the eyes. It's difficult to take in the whole pattern. What kind is it?

That is my Gaboon Viper named Chizoba. She was one of my first venomous snakes.

Re: OT: Venomous Snake Pics

I thought you might be entering a contest on a reptile forum or one where the subject is snakes. Try that if you want to win. What is the green snake?

Re: OT: Venomous Snake Pics

It's just a run of the mill photo contest. I'm a shoe in if they ever have them for reptiles. The green snake is a White lipped Viper all to often over looked and under estimated. That is my big female I also have another smaller female and a adult male but they only get about half the size of the femal if that.

Cool pics. Whatever happened to the "Eek" handle anyway? That's my first reaction with these guys

Re: OT: Venomous Snake Pics

LOL I try and keep the same name on the forums. Figured I'd make this one match. That is the typical response thought.

Re: OT: Venomous Snake Pics

Have you entered Hagen/Exoterra photo contests in the past? They used to award a trip to Madagascar or other areas to go scouting out for reptiles and do some field studies and observations. Not sure if/when it's happening this year:
