hey all,
i came across this U.S. Supreme Court to review Exxon Valdez oil spill case - MarketWatch

can you believe this. 20years and still not a dime has been paid. i can not help but think about all the distractions with blamming of hobbyist and banning of this or that, now because the captain of this catastrophe was drunk, they may pay nothing for decades of destruction. its unreal, even if they have to pay its a fraction of what is should have been, not to mention a billion dollars is not what it was 20 years ago.

Yeah, I have boycotted them ever since.

With the high gas prices as they are, you know they had the nerve to post a 44 Billion dollar profit last year or was that Chevron. Either way, it still sucks that the gas companies are raking us over the coals. Price gougers!

40.6 billion and they still dont want to pay 2.5 billion for distroying all that land and sea. heck around here if you toos a cigerette but on the beach you could end up in jail, pay a big at any rate. they wipe out miles and miles of beach and might not have to pay a dime. even if they do dont you think after 20 years some interest should be added, or at least raise it to compensate for inflation, maybe raise the fine to match the raise in gas prices over the last 20 years.

And you know WHEN they pay it will just come off as a "slight" unavoidable price increase that wont go away AFTER the payout! It's a racket! I'm tired of petroleum anyway. I want to use AIR to get around

yeah, but this one really gets me, the excuse of a drunk captian really urks me. i have never wrote to any of our representatives but this may end up being the motivation i needed.
