OT: Trip pictures

I took over 100 pictures, so I'm linking you to my Kodak gallery. Hopefully this will work! Click on the link "Start Slideshow". It shouldn't be necessary to sign in.

The sequence; Joanetes hotel, Barcelona, Italy hotel, and various shots of Vatican City.

I also took some video walking to the Sistine Chapel, but I have to work with it because it's so large. Hopefully, I can get a link to that here shortly.

The apartment we rented in Barcelona was just across the street from the Roy Lichtenstein Sculpture that you have a shot of.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Thank you, Daniel.. I agree with you, I like the countryside much more than the cities. I must say that Barcelona was amazing, and I think I liked it so much because it was so clean, and the people there are very, very open and friendly.

Rome was filthy, but it was easy most of the time to look past the filth! I would love to visit Germany as well. My grandfather was from there, so I would love to visit the town he was from.

You're right, I AM lucky to have visited the places I have. Each time I go I appreciate it more and more.

My pleasure Mr Clam! I WISH i could have brought some leftovers back. The food over there seems so much better to me... I don't know if it really IS, or if it's the atmosphere that helps it along.

The town of Olot in Spain has the honor of saying the McDonald's there FAILED because of lack of business... and rightfully so because that sort of food has no place there whatsoever!

Thanks! and I agree. The "official" photographs are too perfect. I like to see other traveler's photos before I go someplace.. it's much more realistic!

Wow, Jeff, your apartment had a fabulous location then! I do hope to go back and spend more time in the city. I definitely didn't see nearly enough!

Thanks, Scott, I AM lucky! I have to go back so I can see the inside of these places.

The Pieta is behind glass, which is a shame. The studio we deal with in Italy has made an exact replica of it, with permission from the Vatican. I would have loved to have gotten closer to the real thing.

You're welcome, Doni! Thanks for looking. The photos really don't do the artwork justice. Being there in person is a totally different experience!
