OT Spy Satellite gone wrong . . .

This may not be of any interest to you but I think it's amazing! Wish I could watch it first hand.

yeah this is intresting. me and some of the engineers at work are talking about the warhead they may use. i personally think a non explosive ordinance should be used. some sort of shrapnel warhead. i think itd be much safer and would keep the upper orbits clear of debris. i plan on standing outside watching this... they say 1 drop of this hydrazine fuel Is enough to kill a adult sized male.

Non-explosive it is. Just going to use kinetic energy to take it apart. That's IF weather permitting in about 15 minutes.

Ok they've pushed the "window" of opportunity back to around 10:30pm EST now. Right about the same time as the Lunar Eclipse! Would love to see the Eclipse and some "debris" burning up at the same time... doubt I'll get to see that but doesn't hurt to HOPE

They hit it at 17,000 mph and pulverized the satellite. We sent hydrazine all over our alien friends. It cost the U.S. tax payers 40 million dollars to shoot down a 1 billion dollar satellite.
