This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Bamboo flooring is green! Even though i deal a lot in exotics I appreciate the people that use wood thats green. (green is not a color, it is a term for environment safe for those that don't understand what were talking about)

Let us know a bit about the green building as well. If everybody works hard at even small changes perhaps we can get our environment back.

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Hello Lynn.

"Green" is a fairly broad subject. It can range from "Organic-like" in make up to how it's manufactured. Todays' Green workshop was about how build a "Zero Energy Home" (ZEH) or more likely a Nearly ZEH. It was interesting to see the concepts and even better to see how if Electrical Companies around the nation pitch in and help it's possible to do it for almost FREE. This is calculated over the life of the home and includes rebates, tax incentives and potential cost savings. Very cool topic!!!

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Hi BigAl and All, just found this thread and wanted to report my update.

We are through with all the CDs and the book. Thanks to Al's encouragement and inspiration, we are in the middle of our second month of this program. A few weeks ago, I was faced with the real possibility of losing my job (which provides about 2/3 of our income). Although we have retirement savings, I do not yet have much in the way of an available emergency fund, and before BigAl got us working this program we were spending more than our monthly income each month. I think this was someone's way of telling us "this program is really important." Anyway, my job is still on the line, but we are continuing to work the plan.

In the short time we have worked the program, I am sure I have saved thousands of dollars all ready (just by telling our money what to do)! We no longer spend more than we make, and we are totally focused on paying off our debt (Baby Step 2). The program has totally changed how I spend money on this hobby (as well as how we spend money on anything else), but I haven't had to "sell the tanks" yet. I have been selling a few frags and used equipment to cover some of the expenses and the rest is paid for with cash. I focus on what I need to maintain what I have (I really don't need more, I just ALWAYS want more than I have).

This program will allow us to retire in 7-10 years without debt. I just wish we had worked this program 25 years ago! So, don't wait, do it today!

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Lorraine I want to personally thank you for posting in here. It's been such a pleasure to try and help/guide you over this short period of time. I know sometimes it seems over whelming and HUGE but stick with it. As you've already seen it's an improvement from day one. As you have already testified this will have a HUGE effect over the rest of your life. It's going to allow you to retire with dignity and sense of financial security. I'm thrilled like you wouldn't believe to see yall sticking with it. I'm here if you need anything at all.

thanks again Lorraine!!

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

I paid off our LAST Credit Card last month. When I went to "Close" the account they told me that the account balance has to be "Zero" for 30 days before it can be closed. Well I know good and well that SOME kind of charge would "materialize" between 3/3/2008 and 4/4/2008. I looked at my account mid-day 4/4/2008 and nothing had been added. I called and easily "Closed" the account. I should get the written confirmation in the next week or so.

We are 100% Credit Card FREE!!! SWEETTTTTT!!!
