Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Thats probably the sad part.
I have the book. I just need to get off my lazy butt and read it.
No one told me I had to open it.
I thought it could solve my money problems simply being in the house.

My financial debt isn't anywhere as bad as many of people who call in, but debt is debt and I know I'll be happier with it gone.

Rice & Beans, Rice & Beans.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Yeah you do have to READ it bro!!

Well you said it right! Debt is debt and NOT having debt(or almost NOT having it) is one heck of a great feeling. Plus with every debt you pay off you free up that much money to work for you!! Hence the Snowball! Once it gets rolling it picks up steam and every revolution it gets stronger and faster. Our Debt Snowball was so slow at first. Then one day we were like, "WOW! Look at what we've paid off without even realizing it. Seriously it just gets easier and easier. Once your debt os GONE you start BUILDING wealth! The other good thing is the money BUILDS like it does in the Debt Snowball! Slow at first then WHAMO!!

Thanks for reading my ranting over debt I want to help you!!

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

In addition to the ideas I've tossed out up there there is a "version" of this program to fit any and EVERY part of our society.

You can do this within a business.

There is a portion geared towards the youngest of our population. Teach them how to handle MONEY before they learn how to spend it. (3y/o and up)

Middle/High School age.. teach them to earn and SAVE $$

College Age - Don't accumulate DEBT before you earn money

and then the one I have taken for those who already have debt and don't want to live with it anymore!!

Each of the above topics could easily spin me off on another tangent but I am resiting the urge.. at least for NOW

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Hopefully you don't resist too much longer. The TMMO plan really isn't anything revolutionary in the methods of spending and saving that it discusses. What I find the most useful in it is the lessons on how to stay focused on the goal.
I don't follow the plan perfectly, but even with all the parts I took out I'm still seeing my debts lower faster and faster.
I definatly wish I had seen a program like this when I was in college. Makes me wonder how much different my life would be today!

I think it's a great thing you're doing, Al. Glad to see you so passionate about helping people become financially free!

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Hey Cody Thanks for adding to it. I really appreciate your input!

No need to thank me buddy.. I'm just trying to share what we've been blessed to learn.

Life does throw some "curve balls" at us and it's usually at the worse possible time. The good news is that we "plan" for those ahead of time and they go from MASSIVE Road blocks to mere speed bumps in the blink of an eye.

Again thanks for adding your input buddy!! It means a lot.

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Wow.. can i say i have about 30 pages left. I was up until 3am with my wife discussing our debt and getting everything writted down so we can track our money and debt. I honestly had no idea the amount of debt we had. Now its on paper it hit me like a stack of bricks. Its a whopping $21,000 not including the house. Im 25 my wife is 22 and we think thats alot of debt seeing we have really nothing to show for it. We realized in 3 months we will have our emergency fund, and then in 2 years we will have all $21,000 paid off. TWO FRICKEN YEARS AND WE WILL BE DEBT FREE with this program. it would have taken me 40 years the way i was doing it. I thought by paying on all my cards at least the min payment and then an extra $50 or so would chip away at them. well my experience has clearly shown this just doesnt work and i know most people do it this way. Im so siked Allen about this and i know i have told you that. I called my dad to let him know about it because he has probably 4-5x more debt then i have and nothing for retirement. he now is siked about it and as we speak is running out to get the book. He has had some marriage problems because of it and i could hear it in his voice that he will now rest easy knowing his and his wifes future wont be so bleak now. Wahooooooo.... bring it on. Im ready for my debt free life.

Re: OT: Allen's testimonial . . .

Dennis thanks for the update buddy. I really am thrilled you contacted your father. It can help ANYONE and EVERYONE to improve their financial well being. The good news is you can help each other succeed throughout all of this. You can "feed" off of each other and enjoy the other's success. It's a BEAUTIFUL thing
