like i participate in numerous online fish forums, and like, man.

im arguing w/ 1 dude about why you shouldnt start a reef in a tank thats been treated w/ copper....

another about an anemone in a 75 gal w/ 165 watts of pc....

and this broad about brackish fish in a reef....

am i like an ass for telling these people relentlessly to like, research?

i mean, i aint got no gloves on, but still...

It can be quite challenging at times. I still try though. I completely agree that sometimes it can be very frustrating. Usually when it goes on long enough I just quit responding and let someone else jump in.

I say keep doing what you are doing. It is great that people are so friendly and nice, but sometimes it goes too far. Far too often (IMO) nothing is said to people who are doing things wrong or in an irresponsible manner. Don't get me wrong, I am all for being nice, but sometimes you have to shoot somebody down for the sake of the organisms in our charge.

Very good point.
I have no problem with telling people they are wrong but I do try to do it in a nice way. Sometimes it doesn't work though.

I try and be nice and tell people when I see wrong....And I hope people correct my errors. I think the problem comes in that they hear or think one thing then you tell them they messed up so they are embarassed. Their are the lame brains that just want to argue though.

well your problem is your going to other fish forums. See if ya just hang out around here it wouldnt be so bad. i find most people here can be open minded and think outside the box if needed. Thats why i dont and probably never will venture to another forum.
