I only go to this forum and my reef club forum,i went the trt and simply tried telling this dude u can not keep sea horses in a reef tank,he said for me to go sit down somewhere and that i didnt know what i was talking about,just because i only had two post at trt doesnt mean i havent been in the hobby for 4 plus years

I offer what I think is good advise. Surprisingly, I'm right more than I'm wrong.

But I don't get emotionally attached to the conversation. People are going to do what they feel is right and the only thing we can do is offer assistance. We can't control them.

An occasional "I told you so" can wake them up a bit though.

Also, people who rush right in and buy a tank, fill it full of rock and saltwater, and start buying livestock for the tank, all in the first month, aren't going to be successful and the livestock will most likely die. They will get frustrated and either quit OR start researching the right way of doing things. It's sad that some livestock is going to have to be sacrificed in the learning experience but it's also the way it goes more times then not. It's what a lot of LFS's are counting on.
