HAHA! i saw the shuttle launch from 32,000feet.

our plan contenental 478 i think it was.. (737-300) from EWR to MIA was grounded on the tarmac for almost the hole deration of the flight,

we where supost to depart at 11:45am, we took off at 1:54pm last saterday.

insteed of flying down the eastcoast of Fl, we flew over the gulf side....
the captan made the anoucment at 5:02pm that the shuttle was takeing off.

looked to the left side... (i was window seat) AND

SAW the hole launch from about 300miles away, I mean from like (1 second after it took off) to like 26 miles above the earth

it was so so so so sos os os os so soso cool@!

Just imagine being close enough that the ground shakes and you can here the rumble about 2 minutes after it has launched. That is a bit freaky the first time. I used to go to all of the launches until they changed the way you get passes. Now you can't get them anywhere as close as I am used to so I just stay home where I have a great view. I'm only about 10 miles from the launch pad.
