I don't notice snow until it's at least 6 inches of it on the ground. We've had a few dusting's in the past 2 weeks but I look forward to the real stuff.......I hate hot weather

I live closer to the airport, but I have been to bethpage/oyster bay plenty of times. I went to school @ Adelphi Univ. in garden city which is closer to bethpage. (best 7 years of my life!!)

Update: at least 2 feet accumulated snow, still -12C and still snowing. Should warm up a bit soon, time to take out the SNOWBOARD. YEAH!! I love fresh powder mornings...... just have to dodge the security guards on the hill as it doesn't open for another couple of weeks...

We got about 6-7" in southern Wisconsin.. With a nice mixture of ice in it.. It is a complete mess.

I woould just about give anything for a big snow storm (with no power outages). I have not seen a good layer of snow in a long time. I mean Id settle for 3-6 feet.

The snow has stopped and the sun is out! Final tally: about 2 1/2 feet of light powdery fluff on the ground. I love days like today. I'll try send some down your way Woody

Once it starts snowing I am going to go around telling frowning people that "its beginning to feel like Christmas."

last night it started as snow,,,then the cold wind blew it away. i froze my tuckus off~ maybe its time to break out the coat and gloves~ it was 28* with 35mph sustained winds gusts to 50+ according to the Air Force Base next door to us.

We had a touch of frost early this morning up in the FL panhandle. Have ice in the freezer next to the frozen veggies. That's about as close to snow as we normally get.
