OT: Christmas/Holiday lists

OK, so what is Santa getting the kiddies this year? (BTW, I use "Santa" as the allegorical symbol of any and all religious or secular celebration involving PRESENTS this year...)

My little one's getting:
dolls, dolls, and more dolls, and not baby dolls, the barbie type
HORSES! - spring ride on type, some barbie horses (baby and mommy), disney horses, stuffed horses, etc.
Fisher Price's exercycle/gaming thing for kids
possibly a big doll house for all those dolls

And what's the jolly elf getting YOU??

Re: Christmas/Holiday lists

My daughter is getting a Canon Digital camera, clothes (grrr, some made by me) My son is getting ,hmmmm????????????? I don't know what he is getting yet.

Now the cool thing that I am getting one of the little people in the family is (my nephew's little boy) is getting from me a Harley Davidson wooden toy caddy and a book...why does grandpa ride a harley....Also other books, clothes, and balls. I spoil the kids ... Before the accident I was working on a Harley for him that is like the spring horses you are talking about, Kathy. I can't finish it though, too much detail and too much fine cutting right now for me to handle. Maybe next year.

Can't wait to see what all the kids are getting.

As for me, Santa won't visit me anymore, he already dropped a skimmer on my porch and the 90 and other stuff.

Re: Christmas/Holiday lists

I have NO idea what Santa is getting me but if I were betting I would be it's tank related and more specifically related to maybe a 90g tank?

Wife is getting just about anything she wants including her own personal reef tank on her desk in her new office.

Re: Christmas/Holiday lists

Hubby and I don't have kids, so we get to spoil each other. Well ... it's mostly me that gets spoiled. This Christmas hubby bought me yet another horse! Currently we have three and one in the oven so to speak, the newest addition is another show horse and he is a blast to ride! I'm posting a picture of him with his previous owner that is a good friend of mine.

I think hubby will get a copy of Blue Planet by Discovery Channel and maybe a calk reactor or a new RO DI unit. I'll let him pick.

Re: Christmas/Holiday lists

Got my Christmas present last month in Punta Gorda. It should be up and running by Christmas. I haven't gotten the wife or kids list yet. My wife says she wants a Regal Tang which Cat is being nice enough to help me out with. I'm sure there's more on her list but I don't have it yet.

Re: Christmas/Holiday lists

Hmmmm ... yes! If she's lucky! I love showing horses there is nothing else like it I LOVE our reef tank, but riding is much more addictive and expensive LOL. Can you imagine budgeting $675 a month to each of your display tanks? Needless to say between the horses and the tank we're broke! haha.
Oh and one meritorious note about the horses, the girls that I know that are very involved in riding have no interest in chasing boys. And they are much more selective about the time they give to the boys who are interested in them. Just a thought.

Re: OT: Christmas/Holiday lists

Thanks, vdituri! I just love him to death and I'm slightly proud of him, ha.
Kathywithbirds, I have some horse books from my youth that I no longer use. If you want them for your daughter I'd be glad to send them to you! Just PM me if you're interested. I could never get my hands on enough 'horse stuff' when I was little!

Ahhhh... so true!!! I've owned/shown horses (arabians, thoroughbreds, hanoverians) my entire life (up until just a few years ago) and usually kept at least two. I was into dressage and jumping but now I only watch my daughter Brooke ride. She is carrying on the family tradition of equine-addiction I have lots of photos of me riding but none are digital...
Reefing is much cheaper than keeping horses by far!
And it's true that horses will keep daughters away from boys for a long while

I am asking for reef related presents and jewlery of course
My daughters want clothes, my son wants games and my husband will get computer related stuff.
