| Social Darwinism victim | Re: OT: Christmas/Holiday lists I tried to ride when I was early teens. I was OK, certainly nothing worth going into a ring. I was a great groom though. (hey, there's that blue collar heritage showing...) I could actually get near and somewhat work with the Arabian stallion. 17 hands, he was a beauty! Owner got a fortune for stud service. He was a little crazy though.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on. |

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Christmas/Holiday lists I hope everyone gets what they want. I don't really want anything but to have a good day. As for the horse section, the coolest horse I ever got to ride was a Lippizzan. Kathy, is true about the boys and the horses, the serious girl rider will spend more time at the barn than thinking about the boys. Woodstock and I have the style of riding in common. I rode hunter/jumpers and dressage. Still working on it Dr. Hank, didn't forget, just been a busy week.
