OT: Christmas early!!!

Well, My fiance made me do it. Our Tree is up and our little apartment is all decorated outside. Did what we could. Who else has there christmas lights up before thanksgiving? I hope im not the only one!!!

Just kiddin, a lot of people arounf here have up the lights. And I am about to jab an ice pick into my ears....I cant handle the same Christmas songs over and over and over. Here at work that what we have to do, listen to the all christmas all the time channel.

My wife has all but BEGGED to let her go ahead and put them up but I've held my ground.

I'm probably going golfing Friday so I suspect when I come home it will be, "Christmas in the Smokys" at the Newland house hold and I'm good with that.

bah humbug, I have captured Santa and his imposters after him. Proof attached. BTW, ignore the date on the pictures , my batteries are dying in the camera and not holding the date...

Actually these are Santas I am making , just have to make their sacks which will be brown suede sacks with little toys hanging out of them.

As for the Christmas thing, nope, not even having a real tree. Used to do all that stuff and went all out for the holidays, but bah humbug...I have a little table top tree I will throw on the table and spray pine air freshener and pretend.

hey cat, those santas are very cool, you made them yourself? We dont have a real tree either, last year we had just moved a week before xmas, we only had a small tree too! Whatever works! we also have the pine candles burning away!!!

Yes, I made those, surprisingly well since I was having so much trouble with my hands. Yeah, I also make quilts, and any other crafty little thing there is to do. I in fact made quilts for my husbands family and myself out of his clothes after he died. It takes me awhile but I am finally able to do it. Perhaps I will start a thread of all things made by Cat through the years...

You would be surprised.

Pretty lights! And I like those Santas, Cat... I thought the blacks were green...

I intend to make it look like Christmas threw up around here... lights, lights, lights, decorations, more lights, big tree, more lights. And oh yeah, more lights. We won't be able to sleep at night.

lights going up on wednesday here. (but i have lights around the cieling in my office area... think of them as party lights~)

tree? when we get one. looking for a new artifical tree, but now that its the "green thing" to have now, the price has skyrockets on them.

thursday Thanksgiving day we will watch "the Santa Claus" tim allen movies (picking up SC3 today) cook and have fun. all 3 kids will be home with us this yr and Mom is not in the hospital like last yr...so it will be good~

I would think that these Santas would cost a small fortune to ship and probably difficult to find a box to put it in. If you are serious I can take it to the post office and see what it would cost for shipping. The Santa also gets a sack of toys too. I am doing those tonight and will post a picture later of a completed Santa.

OK, here is one of the Santa's finished with his bag.

Here is also a bear I did last year, his hat actually lays to the front and side and reaches down to his waist, this little guy's hat is just laying toward the back.
