OT: poor little guy

Im sitting in my desk at work, when I hear a BANG against the window. We have HUGE windows.(10X10) I knew what it was when it happened. I walked outside and there he was a little finch. Just laying there. Usually when they hit that hard they are dead. He looked like all the others, until I got him inside. I was looking at his motionless little boy, when I noticed him looking around. He is paralyzed.

He cant move but is watching everything I do. It is very sad. I guess I will go put him out. I feel bad for the little bird though.

Another Great start to a morning. At least its friday.

You can place window stickers (any shape) on the windows to prevent the birds from flying into the glass. In our building here at work, we have window stickers and it helps a LOT.

aahhh, that sucks. not a good start to the day, nope not at all. maybe you should leave the window open for now on

the sticker idea sounds like a good one, or you could buy one of those fake owls and perch it on the window ledge.

If you've got some time, contact your local vet and ask for the local wild bird rescue organization. There's usually one around. They'll probably have you drive him somewhere, but he might still be OK.

aw, sorry about that... keep your eye on him, they're funny sometimes, they're either go or bound back suddenly.

I layed him beside the building, sometimes they will lay around for a while then get up and fly away.

Put him in a protected area. Unfortunately, the little injured ones often become prey for whatever raptors are around. We have red tailed hawks here and I used to find feather explosions (usually pigeons) under the one tree in our backyard.

He is beside the door, nothing will bother him.I ve been checkin on him, but it dont look good.

So sorry to hear. Give him some time though. I have done the same with brids several times only to have them make a miraculous recovery after a while and fly away.
I would find and call a bird rescue. They can evaluate and at least put him out of his misery if nothing can be done.
