OT: Take Time To Smell the Roses

Almost every morning I walk at least a half mile, if my injuries can handle it I will walk farther. I don't always go to the same place and I am always on the look out for new places to explore because on these walks I take my camera with me. When I forget it Murphy's Law makes me say...dag nab it I forgot the camera. Anyway, I thought I would post some of the pictures I took today while on my walk. Later I will post some I have taken at other times. One of the photos I took today is a "killer" spider web....Wow, talk about a mess of webb...I think Charlotte would get lost in it. I like photos of webs, there is certainly a lot of spinning going on in those things and what artists those spiders can be. Anyway, Enjoy!

We were down in Sept. to go to Disney and just failed miserably to get together with Lynn. I like it warm!!! Bugs, OK, I could do without but yeah, I could do Florida.

We're loosely planning a spring-ish trip back down pending $, school (me and the munchkin) and whether or not we hear where Mike's being assigned next. I understand you're roughly an hour from Lynn? (I have a fair idea of where she is...)

I'm not sure they are in the marsh area. could be rain lilies, cept I never saw a white one. It is a type of lily though...there are no leaves to it like the rain lily we have here.

Those are Spider Lilies! We had them growing like mad outside my boyhood home.

Yes this is all in the same place, it is a little park / boat ramp on the route to my daughter's school. No one is hardly ever there, you will see a few walkers on the fitness trail and a few boat trailers, but hardly ever run into them.

Yes, Dentoid is right, spider lilies. I started to say that and then got caught up in the rain lilies and wasn't going to say otherwise.

These pictures are some I took on a previous walk at a different park/boat launch area I sometimes go to. Always make sure to have the camera at this one, the manatees love to have their bellies rubbed.

Awe, I love the Manatees. I used to SCUBA with them in Crystal River. They are so docile, like puppy dogs.

yep, they are, it's so neat to just sit and watch them and they stay right there, sticking their noses out of the water at you...cute little guys.
