A can't hole?
Can't what?

Orient it how?

Somehow I don't think I can handle the truth. Just lie to me. lol

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

Well, I can't, that's for sure. Can't do anything with that hole. I guess it's a guy thing.

Oh wait I could poke a stick in it....

Thanks Frankie, a walk with you would be cool, bet we would have a lot to talk about.

Well gotta run to my next walking destination, have to check out the camera I got for my daughter for Christmas. I think I will go along the riverside park today where the marinas/ yacht clubs and such are at and lots of wildlife and history. I have some peanuts I know the squirrels will love.

Re: OT: Take Time To Smell the Roses

Well this morning I took the camera I got for my daughter for Christmas on the walk with me just to see how well the pictures are going to be. I like...I went by the river today in Sebastian and I got a little bit of everything, some bird, water, lizard and even a honey bee. So I hope you enjoy the scenes from my walk.

Jack used to joke about this sign: he always said there used to be 7 grouches until he moved. He wasn't grouchy, I think he likes to make people think he was and it got a laugh anyway.

This is on the sidewalk and is quite large,

This is a statue of Paul Kroegel, the first Refuge Warden

Of course what would Pelican Island (Sebastian) be if I didn't have a picture of a pelican in here?

Moving right along the coast and off and on the jetties I saw what we call snake birds...Look at that algae on those rocks!

This little guy was having a good time wading around in the water.

Now my favorite unusual photo for the day to start off the landlubbers delights

Re: OT: Take Time To Smell the Roses

I really didn't mean to hit send because I wasn't done, but well let's just continue on like nothing happened...

Next we have every crab haters dream:

This little guy here is missing part of his tail, but he was happy playing among the rocks and sunbathing

Here we go a little splash of color to brighten things up some

A visit with one of the scavengers brought about some nice pictures of him

Awww lookie here, a honey bee butt poking out of the flowers, I was sitting in these flowers with these guys thinking of how I used to run through the yard in barefeet, with a jar and lid catching the honeybees, sure was fun, but man did it hurt when I got stung. This was also near the statue and I kept seeing it out of the corner of my eye and kept thinking someone was standing there watching me...ok, I will tell the rest., at one point I turned and smiled and then had to of course snicker at my stupidity

A little more color for you guys/gals

Now this area here is called the splash pad: it is what it says it is, the turtle is at the entrance of the splash pad, the things you see behind the turtle are decorative type sprinklers in a fenced area for kids or whoever wants to get splashed,

Now onto the serious side of things this area is dedicated to Veterans thank you guys / gals who served....This flag is surrounded by markers which depict all branches of the military

Thanks Medic (Jack) (1949-2006) (Pararescue Air Force ,So That Others May Live, Viet Nam War 1969)

Now to end today's walk session how about a sign....next time you grumble about certain things not going your way (I am including myself in this) and we have those selfish thoughts, and are being greedy and ungrateful for the things we do have ..stop and think of this

Hope you enjoyed todays walk as much as I did.

Re: OT: Take Time To Smell the Roses

That bird you call "snake bird" is a Night heron. Very cool bird. Pelicans are by far my favorite birds! I love the last one the most though Thanks for the tour!

I like all herons but never knew what that one was other than what I hear others call it. Pelicans were our favorite birds too. We would ride on the "bike" up by the river and watch flocks of them fly, we always thought they looked like pterodactyls, so I call them terries...
