OT: Truck on Fire!!!!

I was sitting at my desk and I heard a long long car horn, looked out the window, saw people running, and saw smoke, I go downstairs and there is this lady in a panic, GET OUT OF THE BUILDING, EVERYBODY OUT. Rule #1 DONT PANIC!!! There was a late 90's f-150 Hood/engine ON FIRE!!! Apparently there is a recall that has something to do with the cruise control, they have been catching on fire. Here is a picture I took with my cell of firemen starting to put it out....EXCITEMENT FOR THE DAY.
My office is at the top left of the building picture(2nd fl)
PS: Nobody was hurt, truck has been parked since 9 am

Glad nobody was hurt.
How wierd for it to catch fire that long after being parked.

Supposedly there is a mandatory recall, I will dig for you to find out...the cruise control constantly gets power, overheats and ignites, then igniting the break fluid in the master cylinder....

ok here it is....
Ford 94-02 recalls-cruise control switch

Everybody make sure you are not included in this recall, it has been happening a lot in my area. People would park their vehicle after work in their garage, and then its just a chain reaction after that...

BE SAFE PLEASE!!
On a lighter note- SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A CHEVY or GM!!!!

Here are some more pics now that everybody has cleared out. They say that most of these fires occur 2-6 hours after shutting vehicle off... Notice the windshield, it was completley melted as with the driverside window, and everything else, GONE---> The lady didnt even know about the recall....

the tow truck driver looked at the owner and asked, "Is there any way you could start it, so I can move it to get it on the flatbed?"
