I wanna see if I can tell male from female. On greys, there's something about the red extending onto the butt or not, and the females' heads are usually smaller. on Dexter I cant tell with the head. And Tweety, the female tiels generally have barred tail feathers... except on lutinos (I have one) whose tails are all yellow or yellow-white. Factoid for the day: did you know that "pearl" cockatiels are either less than one year old or female? When pearl tiels go through their first molt, the male loses the pearl coloration. Only the females keep it.

OK, at the risk of posting birdie porn... I'm going for male with Dexter and male with Tweety. Am I right? Dexter's red seems to cover the... (ah, what's the name for the butt??) while Ollies does not, and we're 99.99999% sure Ollie is a girl. (never sexed her, but she's all but laid eggs.)
Tweety is a pied cinnamon, and I guess not all that old?

BTW, may I make a case for clipping the wings... birdies who are not native to this country who get lost tend to become dinner for local raptors. Lost my first tiel that way.
