Barb: I agree, it really is important to pick and choose our battles...even if we do it better.

Brooks and Kath: My husband was military trained. He is meticulous when it comes to work, but it stops there. I watched him lay into his brother once before because he didn't pick up after himself. I had to laugh.

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I know how it is with laundry, Barb. When Tommy takes off his clothes, they fall where he takes them off at. I just put them in a pile and wash them. But, if he forgets to take any money out of the pockets, it's MINE!!! I also don't do socks. I buy one kind of sock so I can reach in my drawer, pick two and they always match. Tommy, however, has a million different kinds of socks so I just put them in a pile and let him deal with them.

On the piles, I'm a "trasher" and Tommy's a pack-rat. He get's it from his mom. I don't understand why, when he gets the mail, he can't go through it at the trash can (he has to pass by it anyway) and throw away the junk mail before he even gets in the house. I have piles of junk mail all over the place. Then, when I throw it away, he's like "Where'd all the mail go?"

And...IT IS A CONSPIRACY! I think that men do things wrong on purpose because they know that we'll eventually just say "don't worry, I'll do it" because we don't want to have to clean up after them....last night, I said that I needed to clean out the fridge because the trash ran today but I didn't have the energy to do it. Tommy was like "fine, I'll do it". But I just ended up doing it myself because his idea of cleaning out the fridge is dumping all the food out in the trash can and leaving the stinky dishes in the sink. I didn't want to have to deal with that today.

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I am meticulous when it comes to cleaning...I know I don't own a house or anything but I know I'll be the same exact way. I absoultely HATE anything out of order...it really, really bothers me. I do all my dishes my self. Dust, windex, vaccum, mop, you name it and I do it. As far as moving "piles" I do tend to create little piles but I hate junk so much that I just end up going though them all and throwing away what's not absoultely neccesary.

Becky hope your feeling better today I know it's tough to be sick and then have to look and act healthy when people come over.

Barb hope your feeling better and have lots of fun on your trip. I'm sure Andrea will do a good job on the tanks.

Don't paint all of us with the conspiracy brush, eh? I don't fit that stereo type.

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I feel worse today than yesterday.
My stomach is still not handling food well. I had soup last night and my stomach threatened to rebel all through the night. Really, the only thing I have been able to eat without feeling terrible for hours on end is toast.

I have to run to the library to pick up books for the oldest. I guess I could get the husband to do it, but I do these things better. Instead, I'll have him do the errands tomorrow. I have a feeling I will be recovering tomorrow, as well. I have so much to do and not enough time.

Ugh, Becky that's no good that you're still not feeling well. Maybe a trip to the doc?

Get some popsicles. Get some plain old broth and saltine crackers. Keep it light and clear for a couple of days.

My back is feeling much better today! I'm wondering if sitting on the floor last night dismantling my return pump stretched something out the right way? Or the prednisone is finally working? Or a combination? I'm taking it quite easy today so it continues to improve before flight time on Sunday.

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I haven't puked since wednesady night...I'm just nauseous. My body is a-hurtin because I spend way too much time on the couch or in bed. I am hungry, which is a good thing, but I am having a problem eating. I got the broth, crackers and popsicles. Thanks, Barb. It'll work itself out, it is just that the process is annoying. I can't remember the last time I felt so crappy.

I just read this post thinking that you were naming everything you did today. Like you pooped, you worked 8 1/2 hours and you'll do the same tomorrow.
