When the kids were little I would usually take a class at community college to get out of the house and learn a little sumpthin'. I remember a time when I asked John to "load the dishwasher". He did, so that's all good. However, it was crammed completely full... not even one more fork would fit. The classic part was his answer when I asked him why he hadn't run the darn thing; "You didn't tell me to run it". We still have an occasional laugh over that one!

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread As long as he does it in leather hot pants!! If I ask Tommy to do the dishes, he crams as much in as he can, but they're in no particular order, big dishes in front of small ones, glass on the bottom. Nothing ever gets clean.

Socks, shirts, or underwear inside out for the laundry? Well, darn! I guess that's the way they get put away.

| Serpent Star | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread I'm with you Barb I don't care who does it or how it is done as long as it is done. Clothes wash just the same weather they are inside out or right side out. They even hang ok on the hanger. As for the dirty dishes I just leave them in the dishwasher for the next running. I would forget and end up with the dirty plate.

| Social Darwinism victim | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Ha!! I got y'all beat. Mine was military trained, he can be a neat freak when he likes. The problem here is we both have different ideas of what's more important to be kept neat and/or cleaned. I like organization of all the CRAP this is in this house; he just wants it out of sight. It drives me up a freakin' wall when he takes my piles (yes I'm a piler) off the dinign room table and shoves them somewhere and I don't know where they are, he totally screwed up the organization I was trying to accomplish, and I start all over again... except this time there's more to add to the pile because more mail came in or Erin took out all her toys and I have to make sure she picks that up or... you get the idea. So the organization I want never happens. If I need to keep track of something I have to hide it and threaten Mike with bodily harm or divorce if he disturbs the two or three places I don't want him touching.

Have you gotten your electrical situation squared away yet? And, do you know when a dishwasher needs to be loaded or run? lol

still working on the electrical. I could and might sue the orginal owner that we bought the house from since he did the work and didn't disclose it. He said he would work with me so I am waiting on the quote for the contrator for the electrical work. He said he would pay to have it re wired which is all I am after since I want to redo the walls and bath anyway.. I know when the dishwasher needs to be loaded but, I don't do it right. So she says. I still do it sometimes but, I always get "you could put more in it" sorry venting.. LOL | |

Hopefully your former home owner will do right by you. It sure is in his best interests to cooperate now rather than face legal action.
