| Manta Ray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread So the kids...and the husband. I would have the talk with the husband, but I find those to go straight over his head and just aggravating in the long run. I am hoping that the murderous look I gave everyone this morning will suffice for the rest of the week. Might talk to him about getting the kids records updated so that I can dump them in daycare once a week, though. The youngest will probably sent home. I have been watching the fits of rage for the last 48 hours. There is plenty of hitting, toy throwing...and that is just the 18 month old being told no. The 4 yr old is in trouble for not coming when he is called. Not as bad as the baby today, though. So today, I am trying to catch up with everything while the youngest is trashing the place and throwing fits. 4 day weekends around here are hard on the place and by tomorrow it will be the weekend again. |

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Wow Becky. No offense but I really hope we don't have a boy the second time around. If Tommy and his brother are any indication of what life would be like with 2 boys, I'm SO happy we have at least one girl.

| Manta Ray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread I'm not certain it wuld have been any better with a girl...maybe somewhat, depending on the girl, of course. Much of the youngests behavior has been picked up by watching the 4 yr old, otherwise, I would probably be just dealing with the usual limit pushing. The 4 yr old was in the line of fire today. I was knee deep in the middle of something. The 4 yr old was trying to help me out when here comes Nick (the youngest...and now meanest member of my household) wanting a refill in the sippy cup. Didn't happen fast enough and slammed it in the 4 yr old's face. Now how hard can an 18 month old slam any particular thing? I watch mine very closely around the furniture...he is very good at whacking stuff. Husband came home. Doesn't think it's that bad. Seriously considering going on a vacation and leaving him with Nick. The 4 yr old could also use a break, so would probably be going with me. Thanks for the book recommendation, Craig. I promise to try and get to it. I rarely catch a break long enough to get comfortable with a book. I have managed to get a few things done, not enough to make much of a dent. But can only do so much at one time. And now that I said that, time to get back to prioritizing while the youngest is down. Later! |

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Yikes Becky! You should do what I did with Olivia. I just handed her over to Tommy one day and said that I'd be back in a few hours. You could hand over Nick, tell the hubby you'll be back in a few hours and take the oldest to the park or something.

| Nancy Nurse | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread I am so glad mine has grown out of that stage!! Now he is a teen filled with testosterone (Yikes)!! They just go from one bad stage to another one; all we can do is bite our lips and pray for the best!! Becky, do as Nikki said-- hand the bugger over to your husband and let him deal with it for a few hours ![]()

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread It took a few times but he eventually got the point. Now when he comes home, he's much more eager to help me out with her. (Especially since he dropped her Monday.)

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Yeah, he now knows why I always tell him that you can't leave a baby unattended for even a second. He was feeding her breakfast and took the tray off the high chair (all the way off instead of sliding it out just enough to get her out) turned around to put the tray on the kitchen table and she fell right out. He kind of caught her but she still hit her head on the tile floor. I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest. I was in the living room, heard him scream "Oh $&*%" and looked just in time to see my baby's head hit the floor. I was SO pissed!

| Manta Ray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread I've had a couple of close calls with the youngest. Gotta watch him closely at the table. We don't use his tray all of the time. He sits high enough he can sit strapped in his seat. He likes it...but he also likes putting his feet at the edge of the table and pushing off. I caught him rocking on the hind legs of the chair last week. I could have crapped. Right now he is killing me by playing with the pots and pans. I have been cleaning up his kitchen escapades all day. I am afraid to look. It is much better than getting attacked by him. He nailed me once after nap, put him in his crib for awhile to cool down. |

| Excellent Guesser :D | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Sorry, have to interject. How many years Barb did it take for your daughter to become a normal human being? You know, without all that thinking and emotion stuff? Your words, not mine. ![]()
