| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Good morning ladies. Becky: Yes, Tommy does do the yard which consists of a 1 hour drive around our yard with a beer in one hand. In fact, he always decides to do the yard only after I've told him what a challenging day I had. So instead of coming in and taking a shower and giving me a break from Olivia, he cuts the grass. Then he always seems to find other things to do then comes inside 3 hours later wondering why dinner isn't ready. Meanwhile, I'm sitting on the couch (because I'm tired of walking around and bouncing her) with a screaming baby with spit up and baby food all over me still in my pajamas because I haven't had a chance to change. I told him yesterday that there was a lot of stuff that needed to get done around the house. So he comes in, takes a shower, takes the baby and tells me to "get working". I wanted to slap him. But, the cold shoulder and the "eat s*** and die" look did its job and he ended up folding a basket of clothes and making dinner. He didn't clean up after himself, but I'm glad he did something. Boomer: I agree with you that if only one person works in a household then the other should do the bulk of the chores. That's why I haven't asked Tommy to do much, but what I have asked him to do, he should be able to do without being asked and not letting things sit around for a week before picking them up or taking them out.

| Acropora | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread So, long story short, my fiances brother stole his identity. (This isn't the first time, he did this to his grandma, and mother in law also) We called his brother confronting him about this, his brother said... send me the invoices I will look over them. So, I said screw you, and hung up. He doesn't even apologize. Mind you, they are small things, but they are all into collections reflecting on Jeremys credit report. So, we are considering filing fraud, in which, the brother would be charged with identity theft. I was telling a co worker this yesterday. Ironically, the brother used to work for the company I am currently at, and got fired...for go figure stealing! So--this co worker told the whole office, which, whatever I don't care. But then, it gets to our AR department, a gentleman in there hangs out with the brother. As in---going to lunch today. I am scared he is going to tell him. The brother is pshyco, he blew up on me last week because I asked him a question about his kids. Anyways, I tried explaining to my co worker not to say anything, he said... ahh this is great blackmail! Ahhhh--that's all we need is the brother freakin out on ME over something that he did. More importantly, breaking up the family. Jeremy feels really bad, but feels it is something he has to do. I don't know which way to go! |

| Achilles Tang | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Stace - you have to do what you have to do. He is prone to this type of behavior & can screw things up for the 2 of you with the new house & whatever. You have to look out for #1. Nail him before things get out of control & it costs you in the future.

| Acropora | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Thanks Gary, it has cost us, thats why we had such a hard time getting the house, becuase there are 4 collections from HIM in the last 12 months. Other than that we are both great, nothing on our credit...and then we find those. I just called Jeremy and told him to call his brother right now to tell him, give us the money or we are filing fraud if we don't have the money by tomorrow. Jeremys hesitant...not wanting to do so, I will do it if I have to, just thought he would take it more seriously if it came from Jeremy ya know? |

| Achilles Tang | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Stace - I'm dealing with identity theft too - call the credit agency and dispute the account - tell them you want a copy of the contract or copy of the bills - then show them that it is not Jeremy and you want to report the fraud. Also get a copy of your credit report (from all 3 company's) and dispute the accounts - there is a form letter that the credit agency's have that will help you do that - follow up within 30 days. If they have not removed the report - send another dispute letter and keep doing that every 30 days till they take it off the report. Even if you pay the account, the collection will still show until you have it removed. I just went through a huge hassle with Directv - sent me to collections on an account that I never had!! (technician came to the house, did not install anything, said he couldn't connect me and left - 18 months later they send me to collections!!??) Also put an alert on your credit reports - I use myfico.com and pay for them to alert me to any changes in my credit, anytime my credit balances change I get an e-mail...

| Manta Ray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Nikki...I wish I had a riding mower. These days I have to push the mower with one hand and drink beer with the other! lol Stacef...WOW! What a butthead. No, you will not be tearing your fiance's family apart...he's going to have to deal with his brother big time! I'm lucky enough where I really mess with my half of the family. My husband's family is all on him, although I am not on speaking terms with the oldest brother. My husband got fed up with his parent a few years back. It was a combo of things. His dad only swung by to pick up a bunch of furniture they had Dale (my husband) bring back from Germany. He was with us just long enough to get a UHaul. My parents show up once every 3 months. Then there was a problem with them forgetting his birthday. Year after year...so then there was a blow up. My husband went off on them one night. For days after that, the siblings were calling to tell him that he was in the wrong. Then the oldest emails me and says that I need to talk to Dale because he was the cause of his mother's failing health. Everyone is afraid she was going to have a heart attack. Yeah, I told him that maybe if everyone stopped jumping my husband's case it would blow over faster. His response is that I apparently didn't have any knowledge about the family dynamic, should stick with what I know and that his parents were too old to be expected to remember birthdays. My response? I don't know much about sewage treatment, but I did know sh*t when I saw it and that they needed to invest in a calendar. Doofball hasn't spoken to us since. |

| Social Darwinism victim | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread Mike's got that alert too, he's always on top of the $. We had some fraudulent charges, thank god isolated incidents. One was a hotel in Connecticut (we were in VA and could prove it) and the other was jewelry -- I actually got the jewelry!! Got the bill, called and said I didn't order this, they were pretty nice about removing teh charge adn changing my CC#.

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Women of RS Thread When I was 19 someone opened a checking account with my ID. Luckily I was working for an attorney who deals with credit agencies all the time and he handled it for me. The credit agencies should have a form you fill out online for disputes. Also, make sure you keep organized copies of everything and keep a record of everytime you talk to your husband's brother about those items. Like Steph said, even if you pay off the items on your credit report, they'll stay on there and cause you a lot of poblems in the future. Becky: He only mows. He'll weedeat once a month but he never pulls the weeds out of the beds or trims the hedges...I do.
