Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

After reading all of the older posts:
I agree totally with the "why do they think it's ok to pee outside?" - There is a perfectly good working toilet inside but too lazy to walk upstairs to use it???

Issues with children.....Oh I could go on and on and on - we have boys - 17 yo and 15yo and then comes "princess" a 6 yo girl - who according to her is a princess - don't get me wrong most of the time she is just about the sweetest thing I have ever met - but she has an evil wicked horrible twin who surfaces every now and then - OH Boy - the twin needs to be exercised or something - she is the devil in disquise (sp?)!! The 15 yo Matt - well I could write a book - if I survive his growning to adulthood (provided he makes it that far) - attitude sucks and drives me crazy!

Ok sorry to ramble on here - we have the day off from school here and the kids are already driving me crazy with "can we go here and here and can you give me money and so on & so on"! I can already tell it's gonna be a L-O-N-G day!
Now for the exicting stuff - we are going to go pick up 300 lbs of LR for the dear sweet hubby!!! Have a great day all!!!

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

Well I"m with y'all on the men thing right now. Mike has been tied up at work with a big deal and Erin has been at school every day. It's been BLISSFUL.

The he took a day off yesterday, went to the movies with his dad, which was great, but then we all went to the mall after Erin came home from school yesterday. Oh dear god, he cannot deal with 4-year-old emotional issues. I had a hard time for a while until I developed the one-time-only statements, which involve telling my daughter once that she cannot have candy or we cannot buy her everything in the mall and that's it, then I'm done, mommy is walking away and going on to the next thing, end of discussion. She either stands there and cries until she realized mommy is leaving or she walks away with me and cries until something else catches her attention.

Mike is not good at this. Not at all.

I need to study genetics I think.

And Bob, the Bunny is not edible. He is more likely to eat you.

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

Kathy - please let me know what you figure out with regard to the genetic studies - there are many mysteries to me in that regard!! Why is that the daddies get wrapped when the lil ones are so young - I just don't understand it. I also felt that preschool was godsend - it was only 3 hours a day 4x week but it was better than the constant conversation almost 24/7 - the only time Jessi is quiet is when she is sleeping! LOL This has gotten much better now that she can read - she spends alot of time esp. in the car reading signs and not pondering the ways of the world and asking ? after ? endlessly - it was thourghly exhausting!! I don't remember the boys being as bad as she was about talking non-stop - but time has a way of erasing certain memories - other wise would we really have more than one child ever?

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I'm done. One child. I did my reproductive duty. Body can't handle any more.

I am NOT GOOD between 3:30 and 6 here. Erin comes home and unleashes the emotions she holds back in school. And dons a diaper so she can poop. She WILL NOT poop in the potty. No way no how no ma'am. Friend I work with said her two boys were the same way. Come 4 years old she physically held them on the potty 'till they went. Was hell on both of them but they were potty trained in days after that, no accidents, all night, completely. She said it was the only way they would go.

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I'm exhausted.
Started blood pressure meds today. I sure hope the chemistry evens out, I am calmer than am comfortable with. The kids were their usual selves, I was exhausted and feeling like crap because of the meds, but there was no yelling...from me anyway. I had a couple of instances that would have got me going today but nothing happened. Now I can see why my dad stops taking his pills every once in awhile and goes on a bender...might come to a point in one's life when you gotta let it out.

But I am making coffee.

On to potty training. When I was pregnant with the second kid, the first kid was 2 1/2. I took him out of the diaper. All of my floors were linoleum and easy to clean. He fought me as much as he could, but he sure didn't like being wet. 2 days later, he was sitting on the potty chair.

Not sure what the psychology of poop is. I had a nephew the same way as Erin. I'm guessing you have tried quite a few tactics, Kathy.

Be happy she waits until she gets home to unload because if she did it at school, you might get called in after awhile! lol

Re: OT: Women of RS Thread

I can't wait for potty training. I'm SO tired of changing diapers. I think Olivia pees and poops unnaturally often. I go through over 200 diapers in less than a month.

Yeah OK.
Ladies we are seeing Bob's "front". The tough exterior, take it or leave it, man's man.
And late at night (but only during the week), when he is all alone he sits around with his fuzzy slippers, a gallon of hagen das and he is probably listening to Roxette's Fading Like a Flower. lol

I can see Bob in his fuzzy, pink bunny slippers in a flowery bath robe with his hagen das....don't worry...acting like that, you're more likely to get your toenails painted by a girl than you getting her pregnant.
