Nikki belive it or not I totally agree with you about taking time off and "handing off the baby" When and if I become a parent it's not like I'm looking forward to the crying, the pooping, the teething etc...but I'll do it....why? Because that's what good parents do. Now don't get me wrong I'll need some alone time too but not taking the baby if you want to go to a bridal shower is def. not cool. When you started talking about throwing him overboard all I could think of was that showtime series Dexter (great show BTW) I think it's actually playing on network tv now so you should watch a couple episodes with tommy and say "this is your future if I get too grumpy".

I'll have to check on air times, but it sounds like a good plan.

ooo I LOVE Dexter!! We made it the dog's middle name!!

You can rent it now too I think. Seen both the cable and regular TV versions and they do cut a lot of the gore out.

Mucci, if you ever become a parent, I know this has been said ten million times, you have no idea what you're in for. You can be around kids and have brothers and sisters and babysit and be a teacher but there's no comparison. Both good and bad. You really do get tested on who you really are. I've discovered I'm Roseanne Barr.

lol...he just called to see how I was feeling because I was acting so sad last night. I told him I was feeling much better. I need to buy Sweeney Todd so I can watch it in times like these.

It was always interesting to observe my friends after they became parents. Some of them...well, I don't know what in the heck they were expecting. One of them wanted a kid so badly and then was more than ready to go back to work after maternity leave was used up. That wasn't what caught my attention, what did was that she said that she could not handle having someone so dependent and crying all of the time. I think I would cry too if that were my mom's attitude. If she was tired of the kid at 6 weeks, I am certain that she is really hurting now. The kid should be about 3 years old by now.
