I have a friend over in Dessert Hot Springs, or something like that, i dont know exactly where that is but should I be worried about her? -- i hardly hear from her these days because our schedules are conflicting..

I think you are safe to be assured she is in no danger the fires are further west

So...we're still okay. The fire went south. We had to close the shop for the day. No mail, no fedex. The freeway is closed. We aren't sure about my cousin's house yet. My husband's family is on standby to evacuate in Escondido. We may go over to help them move stuff if they have to go. His aunt had to pack up. She lives on one of the indian reservations. It's so smoky outside. The sky is white/red. This site has been keeping some good updates.

Were they by the beach or the reservation. If they are by the reservation, you may want to check in on them.
