I think we're in the clear unless the wind totally changes direction. My cousin just had to evacuate and went up to my mom's. I think I can sleep tonight. I wish other people were so lucky.

I am glad to hear all is well at this time. As Jack stated above, my friend in North County is hosting her sister's family and 4 of their neighbor's families and all their animals. She was very stressed last night but glad she was able to help. I thoguht about your tank in the middle of the night. One thought for everyone to keep in mind is ways to quickly move livestock in case of evacuations.

When Jack and I went to LA on Sunday, he rigged up a really interesting way to transport his 15 inch fish. He got a trash can, filled it half way with water, put in a pump and a heater, and got two converters that he plugged into the cigerette lighters in the truck. Worked like a charm. If things worsen, let us know. I know we can host livestock here if needed, and if necessary and we are able to get through, pick them up.

Keep us posted.

I read this morning that Six Flags magic mountain is also in danger from the fires. We used to go there all the time when I was a kid. I actually remember in one fire the firemen were fighting a fire from our backyard in Rancho Cucamonga. Good luck to you! Sounds like Cali needs a huge rainstorm.. Time to start rain dances!

Vicki is very correct If I can get to you I will be there we can move live stock no problem. I will extend this offer to anyone who we can get to within a reasonable amount of time.

Vicki neglected to say she didnt sleep very much because of this.
