OT: I'm heartbroken

thanks for the cheering up guys...I really need it. It is a scratch right smack in the front center glass about an inch from the bottom and it is about 4 inches long (definetely noticeable).
[sorry for the lousy phone cam pics, I was too dismayed to take out my slr]
I called the manufacturer right away and was offered two options..
A:have the tank repaired (polished) and recieve a discount for my headaches
B: wait till they send a new replacement tank from Italy (could take a month)
what should I do?

What a total let down.

I think I would have it polished and let them pay for the repair/take the discount.
You could wait a month and that tank have a scratch too!

If it were me, I'd wait for a replacement. You'll never get the scratch totally polished out, or at least so you couldn't tell. Often, polishing a scratch will leave a noticeable "lens" in the glass, so while you can't see the scratch, you doo notice the blemish in the glass.

You've waited this long Boozie...you want it RIGHT, not Mickey-Moused...

I agree,.. I'd wait for another tank to be shipped out to you, I hate wating too, but I don't think the scratch will ever compleatly dissapear,..
