| Social Darwinism victim | Re: OT: Tattoo thread COOL fishie djbacon. SSSSOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo... I'm eventually going to get my whole back done. I want a geisha, I"m thinking standing on cliffs or a beach or somewhere near an ocean, maybe a pagoda in teh background, and I'm thinking a spectacular sunset OR fireworks in a dark sky. My drawing abilities SUCK or I'd try and use Paint for some sort of visual reference. Edit: I'm also thinking about a tori gate.

| Reef Addict (hopeless) ![]() | Re: OT: Tattoo thread I work in "Corp America" so sleeves are way out. Even though it shouldn't matter it does. So the tatt I have is covered and it's funny how many of my colleagues and even close friends don't know I have one unless I tell and THEN show them. That's a SWEET Tatt! Love that bonefish! Hey Nikki, I have kept meaning to tell Julie about the "Frog" but I kept forgetting the original you sent me here in the office. Last night we came down to my office to do a couple of things and she saw it here. She likes it and said, "Wow! that's good enough to frame and hang on the wall. She's GOOD!" Just wanted to let you know THANK YOU!!!

| Golden Moray | Re: OT: Tattoo thread WOW! Tell Julie I said "thank you". I haven't done anything with colored pencils since high school...almost 8 years. I was very pleased with how it came out and I'm glad that you two like it so much.

| Elegance coral | Re: OT: Tattoo thread So... what do "arm bands" go for where you're from? We recently went to a shop in Chillicothe and I was asking some questions... they wanted "$150 to $160" for one. Have I been out of the shop too long... is this a normal price? It's the same type of tatt that I've been asking about... "the word Survivor with a band around the back". It would be black work. They wouldn't add a "fuel charge" like everyone else would they? ![]()

Drs. Foster and Smith Diver's Den® - Zebrasoma gemmatum Be careful about pricing. Haggling might just get the artist PO'd and that might affect the tattoo, AND a lot of times you get what you pay for. It's worth your time and money to research your artist before you even walk into the shop. THe best artists are generally pricey, but they can command what they do for a reason. You CAN find a great artist (maybe who's early in their career) in just any old place BUT that's a bit of a gamble with something you're stuck with the rest of your life.
