Re: OT: Tattoo thread

Al that is gorgeous!! I'll bet it will look really nice! I have wanted to get a tattoo - however I am scared to death of needles, and pain and I are not friends at all - and besides that Terry would hate it!! (I'm just thinking something really small and probabley hidden from public view) hmmmm possibilities - for when I am old and my skin is all hanging off of me - I can imagine I wouldn't feel the pain that badly then!

I draw from picures and observations like still life and models. I do commissioned pieces, but I always feel weird quoting a price. My god-mother is a professional artist so I always have to ask her what I should charge. All of my commissions have been portraits though.

Re: OT: Tattoo thread

I haven't done anything in color in years, most of my commissions are pencil or conte crayon. You should get one, Patti. Tommy's deathly afraid of needles too but he suffered, I mean, he has two . It's not like some long needle poking you over and over again, the only part of the needle(s) you see is < 1cm.

Re: OT: Tattoo thread

Ok THIS is too funny... I was watching I-Spy (which is a live scrolling page of New Posts) and was reading one... exactly at the wrong moment the page scrolled and one post was replaced by another. The time cracked me up... here is what it really reads..

BUT as I was reading it it all blended together and here's what I THOUGHT I saw...

Do you draw by mind's eye or by other pics? Do you ever do....stripping......, I about fell out of my chair here... then I realized what happened and it only APPEARED to be that way....

Does anyone else see the HUMOR in that?

Nitrate (NO3) reduction is directly proportional to percentage of Water Change.
Allen's home-made formula...(-NO3=WC%)
This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Thanks. It's going to be "covered" unless I want to show it off. It's not my first tattoo and most of my peers are shocked when they realize "BigAl has a tattooo... oh the whispers... he must be WILD!!" anything I get like that has to be "Coverable" due to my work. I'm "considering" some piercings but Julie isn't to "Keen" on that idea. *Grins*

If I could find someone local to draw half as good as nikki I would have let them try to draw this... but honestly she captured my mind's eye perfectly with this one. There's no need to have anyone else make any changes to it.. in fact I'm going to have them do an EXACT copy of her drawing on my back. SHE ROCKS!!

Thank you nikki
