OT:hurricane season

Hurricane Dean is churning about drift into the Gulf of Mexico/Yucatan. Looks like the worst of it will stay south of Texas.

Just a reminder for those of us in the SE stock up now, make plans for yourself and your tank in case power goes out for a week or more.
I hope the worst of it stays out of Texas, I know you guys don't need anymore rain your way. For a while it looked like a cat 5 Hurricane was going to slam into the SE Texas coastline, but computer models look a lot better for you right now.

Meantime I'm taking another trip to go surfing for the next 3 days

Catch up with you guys when I get back.

Just got back from Puerto Rico. Spent two days on the South East coast with great waves thanks to Hurricane Dean (unfortunately not so good for the people on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico). The first day we spent fighting for waves with 50 other people on the same point break. The second day we found a place that had a more spread out break and fewer people. It was my first time there and I had a blast, wish I could have spent more time there. Some of the best food ever.

Not a good season for the folks down there.

And something else lining up behind it. The experts don't think this one will develop into anything major though.
