Re: OT:Biggest Public Salt Water Aquarium in U.S.

I know it's not the biggest but Dallas has this Rain Forest exhibit down town. It is 4 stories of tropical stuff but only has a small portion of it dedicated to t aquariums...However. On the bottom floor they have about 8 or 9 huge aquariums that are nothing but reef setups...each one has a different area that it represents....

Like The Great Barrier Reef...Hawaii...Caribbean

So if any one is in the DFW area...ya'll should check it out....lol

Re: OT:Biggest Public Salt Water Aquarium in U.S.

Whoa!! there are many aquariums that are really worth seeing. Will have to plan out which one to see first. I am sure all of them have their own wonderful display of the specimens of the sea.Another good point is we get to visit some of Sasquatch's wonderful Reef friends as well.
Thank you for all the responses.

Pretty cool. I knew it had been done short term like 2-3 weeks but they had a juvenile for 198 days. Thanks for the link.

Re: OT:Biggest Public Salt Water Aquarium in U.S.

The Pt Defiance Zoo (Just S of Seattle so even kinda close) had a great aquarium including an entire floor of seahorses and pipefish. I enjoyed that a lot more than the Seatttle Aquarium. Seattle Aquarium was cool but the zoo had a much larger area and really suprised me.

I didnt even know about the zoo! we have been to the Seattle aquarium it was cool, now for Teresa to go state side requires a $100.00 US visa, kinda takes the fun out of it, not that long back customs would just ask " are you Canadians" ok have fun now I require a passport

Yes I require a visa to enter U.S. as I am holding a Malaysian passport. I am a P.R. of Canada. So if I want to enter U.S. I need first of all to be interviewed then after approval, I will be given an application form to fill plus a $100.00 fee. The total time for this process can take up to 3 months. What a pain.

Re: OT:Biggest Public Salt Water Aquarium in U.S.

i would do atlanta, great reef tank.
My father and i took a trip to the Montery Aquarium, and they do have a lof of fish, but i was hoping for a beautiful Coral Reef and my LFS has better coral reef viewing than they had.
They have all harbor fish from the bay harbour, (tuna, sharks etc..)

it is cool, but as a reefer i really wanted a HUGE CORAL REEF!!!!!!

I'm sure you also need to have many special permits to keep a live sasquatch in captivity
