OT: Webcam hosting

Anyone on here familiar with how to setup a webcam live feed online? I would like to set one up so that I can keep an eye on my tank when I go out of town for a week, and really have no idea how to go about setting it up. I have a cheapo logitech webcam (don't even know how I have it lol), and was just wanting to know if anyone knew of any good sites for hosting or what not, and how to go about doing it.

So I just need to download some software to broadcast it, and then I can log in through my computer's ip address? I found a bunch of free/free to try programs on download.com, but I can't use any of those that you posted sasquatch (no windows vista here). Hmm, I'll have to try it when I get home from work. Project for this weekend

Let me know.. I don't have Vista either (just ordered a load of new PC's without it on purpose). Hopefully we can come up with something.. I LOVE this idea!!

Hmmm... wondering if it would be possible to set up a common site/page where we could all do that & check out each others tanks live??? That would be so cool!

Can't seem to stay awake late enough to find out what's going on in your tank? Just ask other people to peek in on it and let you know what's up. Wake up feeling refreshed AND know what happens in the wee hours. I know there must be insominiacs on here..... thinking, must remember to wear pajama's to bed. All my luck my cat's would knock the camera over & when I check the site in the morning............ I would have 40 requests to please put on some clothes. LOL

Thanks AnotherLousy1, that seems to be the best solution so far. Looks like I can set up a webcam, and post it to my reefspace account.

Only problem is that I'm either going to have to get one helluva long usb cable, or just move the computer when I go on vacation. Hmm, so who's for fish sitting while I'm gone???

I've set up the webcam on my reefspace, and I'm actually going out now to run some errands. So who wants to keep an eye on my dogs for me?? I've set it up on them for now as a test so we'll see how this goes.
