Dave, I don't know the details but, they shouldn't be able to do that . Is your house under your moms name? or did you sign off as your moms legal guardian?
you need to contact a lawyer....pronto !

They do that for sure. Of course their ridiculous fees get added on top as well. Grrr I hate when things like this happen to good people.

yeah,,,i have a 200k+ home, and laywers want to sell for 100k in bills,,so they want .50 on the dollar. and they want it now. they resort to damaging your credit, and then using it against you. they say the sword cuts 2 ways... yeah it does...........
