I just read that... incredible a man who spent his life wrestling crocodiles goes down to a stingray.

He always struck me as one of the people that really made the world a better place. He'll be missed by all his animal friends, humans included.

Crikies!! He's definitely gonna be missed. His shows were always fun to watch. He caught a lot of heat after the episode with his son and the snapping crocs...perhaps well deserved...but he WAS a great animal lover who seemed to care more about his charges than his own safety...

He will be missed. I really enjoyed watching his shows. He had a love and respect for all animals that won't be easily matched.

I just saw this on the news, I was shocked!
I didn't know him personally but, I am very saddened by his untimely passing.
He was one of the best ambassadors for wildlife and preservation.
I just still can't believe it!

Oh no! I can'be believe it. That stinks!
Even worse it was a stingray that did it. I thought my fear of stingrays was totally irrational. Apparently not.
He had a great way with animals and seemed to be a person who genuinely cared about wildlife and nature and had a very amusing way of sharing his enthusiasm with the world.

It's a sad day for the Irwin family and the animal kingdom. My prayers go out for them all.
I remember the first time i saw that guy! jumping off a truck, rolling down a hill and grabing a very large snake! LOL! That guy had passion for sure.
I am sure its the way he wanted it in the end. To be doing what he loved the most. Working with nature. What an awesome man he was!

OH MY GOD! I just saw that!!

I'll miss his shows! That guy was like my role model and hero when I was small and he still his. What species of stingray was it? Must of been a monster since his spine went through his heart. If he was goiing to be killed by an animal I would of thought the croc would of got him first.
