Re: OT~Good Morning Thread (reborn)

Good deal, mucci! Sometimes the VA is a tough nut to crack, my grandfather had VA benefits... after some paperwork.

On to my rant! 2 hours sleep, I'm awake, can't go back to sleep becaue the little one has a "spring tea" at school I have to look vaguely presentable then I can collapse. In the disaster that is my house. I tore apart the stash of kid paperwork from school to see what time this tea is, the paper was not there. If I don't go through the backpack when she comes home from school I don't know what's going on. I appreciate mike taking over when I'm sick and he does it just because he's a good dad but if I don't look over thigs myself I don't catch an important paper -- ie what time this freakin' tea is. I think it's 10 15, hope it's not 10 and pretty sure not 10:30. this happened last tiem I missed a paper and I missed the parent involvement altogether and erin was very upset. there is no organization here. none. there is too much STUFF and it's everywhere, i cannot keep control. my internal filter is off with only 2 hours sleep, sick plus meds totally threw me off I"m feeling better but no sleep so i'm going to tell mike please let me handle her backpack and he's going to say a. you were asleep/sick b. he can do stuff just as well/better than me c. i'm sick alot which leads to me saying sorry for something i didn't do anything wrong about!!!

i'm so tired I want to run away but i can't there's stuff to do i'm gong to break down and cry today i think. i need my zoloft today i think.

Good morning, and yes please take a zoloft! Feel better soon. A cry will definitely help, too! We need a hug smiley!

Re: OT~Good Morning Thread (reborn)

Kathy...I know that need to cry while sick and tired feeling. I could do that without a Spring Tea party.

Mucci...When you you start getting paid? I need to borrow $20! lol This is good news, best news I have heard in awhile. Does this mean that you will be able to eat 2 meals a day, instead of one?

Good morning, folks. For some reason I have not been sleeping well for the last few nights. It is starting to drag me down a little. Been doing it all on one pot of coffee or less, though. Trying to get caffeinated enough to get started on this place. Between the ant invasion in the house and just needing to upkeep everything else...

Good News Mucci.

Barb, are you talking about a Tortilla, omlette with potato and onions? If so, I'm there, but I have to watch the taters. Diced tomato and green onion on top.

yum.

Re: OT~Good Morning Thread (reborn)

Kathy - sometimes there is nothing better than a good long cry! Really can do wonders... Being sick really gets draining - I had years of feeling bad all the time, it got better though. Hope your day gets brighter.

Becky - you need to get some good sleep! I've got allergies messing with my sleep, keep forgetting to take the zyrtec, also found that working out in the evening disturbs my sleep - working on making sure the workouts are in the am or early afternoon...

Sounds like its that time of year where we all feel overwhelmed - my nana used to say that spring always made her feel like a little overwhelmed and frantic - spring is biologically a time of renewal - weeds are popping up, ants, spiders, damn bunnies everywhere, weather warms up enough and you start thinking about all the projects that need to get done, windows open (means fresh air and more dust!). Soooo, take a deep breath (then sneeze, sniffle, cough as appropriate) and try to find a few minutes to relax.

Mooch, I don't know about the state you're in, but here, the Vet rep at the local State Employment office is usually a VERY good resource for learning how to fight the VA to get the benefits you have coming. My neighbor was such a rep for years with the Kahleeforneeya EDD, and he's gotten himself to 100% disability with the VA. He's medically retired from the state now, and coaches people on how to make the system work for you. (for a fee of course!) You might want to talk to your local rep to see if he can offer any help.
I always feel like disabled vets are entitled to as much as they can get from the system...our government owes them more than they'll ever get.

Re: OT~Good Morning Thread (reborn)

OK folks...just got the final word from the DAV, and here's the scoop.

Apparently when my paperwork was being process from the appeals dept. it got sent to the Regional offices. (I have no doubt that the millitary leison from my senators office called and had something to do with that. We've talked several times and he is a vet as well and i think he made some things happen for me.) So the Regional Office said that it was Bull Poo that I wasn't getting benefits and rubber stamped my paperwork. As of right now I'm considered 10% which for me is fine and dandy, HOWEVER if I follow what the VA says and do what they say I could get a boost of up to (are you ready?) 50% I can't say how much that would be b/c of my impeding criminal trial and I don't want anyone finding out exactly how much I make but if you pvt msg me I'll give you a heads up. Needless to say I woulnd't have to work another day in my life. Also I'm getting a retroactive check at 10% from 02...that means the tank will finally be able to come to life.

Also Kathy I've been there before about crying...personally I feel stoopid when I cry but yes it does help..just let it all out and if you want get ahold of me and I'll be as supportive as I can.
