Good Morning RS!

I hope everyone who is illin starts feeling better.

Mondays are my day off.
I slept til 10am.
Made more salt water and I am about to move to the couch for a day full of baseball.
Chicago Cubs opening day is at home (drizzle permitted).
The day is full of new beginnings!

Oh and maybe a load or 2 of laundry.

Boy it sounds like a Blue Monday! Hope everyone feels better soon, and Jeff you're the only one who sounds as though he's enjoying his day... it sounds like a good one. Well, and of course, Craig who has his own personal Nirvana thang goin' on out there in California!

My son worked the National opener yesterday at the Washington Nationals new stadium. He volunteered for the duty hoping to be posted inside the stadium, but luck wasn't on his side and he was posted outside near a cargo door. I asked him if he boo'ed along with everyone else when our President ran onto the field. He claims he didn't but I don't believe him.

He's a huge baseball fan and wanted to be inside. At least he earned double time for his 11 hour stint. Not bad, huh?

Well, I too am at work feeling tired and grumpy can't wait to go home today, started at 7 and won't be home until around 6pm, I hate long days and to top it off it's raining here.

Okay..I'll join the Good Morning Thread...need more threads to "keep up with", especially now that my bluespot died this morning

and that's been my main thread.
So...other than the awful death, which needless to say leads to a bad start to a morning:
The Bad:
1. Instead of heating my kids' syrup in the microwave for 3 seconds, put it on 3 minutes and scorched my finger when I got it out

2. Discovered that my husband washed my cast iron skillet last night (grateful, but...) he left it to air dry, so it's full of rust this morning.

The Good:
1. My kids (girl 16, boy 14) dressed up for a deal at school today as movie characters. Wilma, complete with orange hair, and a very handsome Indiana Jones. Fun stuff!
2. The rest is all good. It's a good life!
Thanks for "letting" me vent a bit this am...promise I'm usually very positive!

Olivia has successfully fought sleep for 2 days now. She hasn't slept for longer than an hour at a time in 48 hours. Of course, you parents know that the way a child fights sleep is to cry...I've gone through half a bottle of Tylenol and the rest of my prescription Motrin from when she was born. But, she slept for 3 hours this morning snuggled with me in my bed. Those three hours were glorious and now she's jumping in her jumperoo, babbling and in good spirits. If only there were a Starbucks close by.
