| Reef Lobster | Adjustment tips? I recently purchased an ASM G2, and was trying to adjust it to produced dark skimmate, and am not having much luck. Any tips? I may just not have that much in my tank, but all I can get out is a yellowish liquid. it's a 58 gallon/20 sump.

| Tunicate | Re: Adjustment tips? How long has the skimmer been in the system? It typically takes a good 3 days for the skimmer to break in and start working it's magic. Sometimes it may take up to a week before you get good skimmate. Another thing to consider is your bio-load. If you do not have anything to skim from your tank, you should not expect much skimmate. |

| Reef Lobster | Re: Adjustment tips? i've had it running intermittently for about 3 days... guess i'll just plug it away and let it run for awhile. ![]() i have about 15 soft coral, snails, etc, then a firefish, sixline wrasse, clarkii clown, and bangaii cardinal, all pretty small.
