Talking Tank Tracker (Beta)

Hello! I'm very excited to present my water parameter tracking application to you all!

While it will eventually be available to anyone in the hobby, for free, I'm asking ReefSanctuary's help in testing and development.

It is called Tank Tracker. See below for a brief overview but remember this is just the beginning, many more features are on the way.

Tank Tracker can be accessed off the North East Coral home page by the top menu.

You will have to sign up, or sign in if you already have an account

Once signed in, pick an existing tank, or create as many tanks as you want to track parameters for!

Once you have your tank selected, enter parameters and a graph will be generated for you automatically. You can find trends in your tank. In the near future you'll be able to post your results to your chronicle with one click!

Re: Tank Tracker (Beta)

I'm signed up Drew, can't wait to go home and do some tests tonight! The only drawback I see right now is us colorblind folk might have a little trouble distinguishing some of the lines from each other.

Re: Tank Tracker (Beta)

Sweet! Thanks Octoman.

Two things, you can click the names of the lines on the right, and they will Enable/Disable off the graph. You could disable all but one or two lines - and tell them apart that way.

This also lets you focus in on one parameter which might have been hard to see - IE calcium (average in the 400's) versus Ammonia (typically values <10)

I'll see if I can get the name of the parameter to pop up if you hover the mouse over it.

BigAl is all signed up, and already recommend we add the ability to post date entries - so thats coming too.

Drew

Re: Tank Tracker (Beta)

Cool, sounds like that will work fine for me. I'll play around with it tonight once I've got some results.

This means if you change 50% of your total water volume (That's EVERYTHING) you'll get a net reduction of (NO3) somewhere around 50%.

Ask me about how to increase your REEF budget without going without FOOD!!

Re: Tank Tracker (Beta)

Nice catch! MG is setup in the back end database, but for some reason the field is not showing up on the input.

I'll have it added shortly!

Re: Tank Tracker (Beta)

I just tested and was able to add a new tank. Make sure your not putting any special characters in any of the text fields, we are not doing much input validation yet - avoid comma, apostrophe, dash, period, etc.

Let me know if that helps!

Drew
