Smile Just bought Aquapod 24g

On Saturday I bought the Aquapod 24g. I went with the Aquapod because of what I had heard about the nano cubes from my 2 LFS. They had complaints with the lighting.

It has only been few days but so far my Aquapod has been great! I like the way it is built and looks.

I have 20 pounds of sand and 27 pounds of live rock.

Now I am just waiting, but would love to have some ideas on what I can and should add in there. I am looking to add a few fish, one anemone, and serveral invertebrates.

If anyone has photos and info for me to help me with ideas I would be grateful.

Also how long should I wait before I starting adding a few Invertebrates, and fish?

Congrats, I'm sure you will like it. Wait for your live rock to cycle the tank before adding any inverts. Test for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. Once you have zero on ammonia and nitrites, and low nitrates (I would say below 5 prefer zero), add your cleanup crew of snails and or hermits. Let them get going cleaning up the algae etc for a few weeks before adding any other fish or inverts.

Re: Just bought Aquapod 24g

i would hold off on getting the anemone for a long while... everything i've read about them says they need an established tank to do well... like at least 6 months with stable water params and time for everything to grow.

Re: Just bought Aquapod 24g

Yeah that anenome is prolly gonna need xtreme lightign as well, well not extreme but prolly better lighting than the stock...if your getting an anenome possibly think of a pair of clowns...a peppermint shrimp maybe cleaner shrimp...some hermit blue legged...and maybe snails margarita or turbo...buh the anenome w/ pair of clowns is a good bet...introduce the pair of clowns as 1...so they will pair up immedately...and if you add the anenome later it wont matter the pair will prolly host in it depending on the type of clown n anenome
