Re: where to buy 06 nano cube

I think a lot of the LFS's have gone away from the Nano cubes because of the cracking issues. I would suggest also taking a look at Current's (Formerly CSL) new nano tank. Think it was called the Aqua Cube or something. It looked pretty good to me, although might be harder to get as I think a lot of the wholesalers ran out over the holidays.

Re: where to buy 06 nano cube

The Current USA AquaPod is really nice. I've seen the 12g version at the LFS, and I like the design of it a lot more than the Nano Cube. I like that it has a real overflow box style intake, not the little round slotted opening. The fans also seem to be a little more quiet than the JBJ.

Edit: Oh yeah and it has 4 chambers instead of 3 in the built in sump.

And don't forget you can get it with a 150 watt HQI if so desired

Re: where to buy 06 nano cube

Ok, now I'm tempted, LOL. They didn't tell me an HQI version was available.

Now that I know that, I looked around on some websites but could only find the 24g with a 70w HQI. I think that 150w would be overkill, but do you know if its available on the 12g as well?

Re: where to buy 06 nano cube

opps, your right 70watt hqi. Think it is only the 24g version. My dist. doesn't have a 12g with hqi available at least.

Re: where to buy 06 nano cube

i looked at the aquapod and didn't like it because... i can't afford the $360 for the HQI and the CF version seemed short on wattage compared to the nano cube seeing as the nano has 72 watts of CF and the aquapod has 64. also i like the closed design of the CF lighting compared to the metal halides.
